Small but mighty, Uvaggio went above and beyond my expectations. The setting is very intimate and I particularly liked the simple decor, down to even the cutlery and drinking glasses. The knowledgeable and friendly staff will guide you through their wine selections and offer suggested pairings, and they offer some of the wines in different pours if you want to do a tasting. We gave our waiter an idea of the types of wine we like and he brought out a sample along with some suggestions for unique wines -- I never imagined I'd end up drinking a Slovenian Pinot Noir! The wine varieties are labeled with fun names/categories too. We only tried four dishes off the menu but all were incredible and it was hard to decide in the first place! The tender octopus was served with potatoes and an aji sauce and the toasty bread with homemade jalapeño jelly; the chicken ricotta meatballs were hearty but made light with the bean salad, and the cod croquetas crispy and flavorful with a garlic aioli. The charcuterie plate included house-cured duck prosciutto that melts in your mouth. I hear their happy hour deals are great, and I'm definitely coming back to try the other menu items...need to come in a bigger group next time!

Heard about Uvaggio when it first opened and never got to visit until now. Very happy that I finally made it before I leave Miami. We came in a group of 5 - I'd recommend coming with more friends to be able to sample more dishes. We tried so many different things and were pleased with the price point. Making it just before happy hour ended, we grabbed the $35 bottle of wine with charcuterie plate and indulged in the duck prosciutto with a fruity wine. We also had the naan with hummus and loved it. After happy hour ended, we ordered the octopus salad (delicious), short rib (heavenly), another charcuterie plate, and a duck special. We finished off with the chocolate mousse and dulce de leche carrot cake. So good! The service was impeccable and everyone in the party was very impressed by the bathroom decor. Five stars all around.

Fantastic happy hour! This is such a cute place. It is on the smaller side, so you may have to wait for a table. However, it is worth it. We went for happy hour from 6-7 on a Saturday. They have a great variety of appetizers and wine for a cheaper price. I got a ginger flavored prosecco. It was absolutely delicious and only $5! We also got the hummus/baba ganoush/olive tapernade appetizer. The homemade yogurt naan that came with it was flavorful and perfectly spiced. Everyone who is here is in a good mood. The tables are filled with people talking and laughing and the waitstaff is very friendly. This is the type of place you plan to go to for a slow meal. We were here for an hour and we only got an appetizer and a drink and never felt rushed at all. I really enjoyed that the lighting isn't too dark and it is not really loud in there. The menu is really cute with pithy explanations of each groupings of wine. I would highly suggest this place to anyone who visits Coral Gables.

This is now my second time coming here, and now I can really appreciate everything that goes on behind this restaurant. From the food to the wine to the service, it's to perfection. I'll first talk about the service.. It's simply amazing. Everyone here is so nice, that it actually scares me because no one is this nice in Miami. How did you hire such amazing people?! The service alone had my mom (who is super picky) wanting to come back because she didn't feel intimidated by this restaurant. The food, is AMAZING. I've had about 3/4 of everything on the menu and every bit I've had has been amazing. You have to order the gnocchi and the Brussels sprouts. Their Brussels sprouts are like nothing you've ever had, trust me!! It's such a different taste, so amazing. Usually I'm so specific with my yelp reviews, but honestly I don't even know what else to say about Uvaggio because it's just so good on so many levels. My first and last recommendation is to definitely ask your waiter (we had Nicholas) to give you a wine pairing!! Goes perfectly with every meal. Love this place!! Joining the wine club membership as I write this!

Uvaggio is my kind of place. Nowhere else on Miracle Mile can you find such friendly service, delicious wine and comforting atmosphere. I first came here for a catchup with a friend awhile back and was pleased to return again last night to find not much has changed. The meal left me wondering why it took me so long to return again! Wine is my drink of choice on any given night so this place is like heaven. You can order 3 oz tastes to try multiple bottles and pair them with individual courses or, of course, get full glasses or bottles. Not a wine drinker? They also have a selection of craft beers. Last night, I arrived about five minutes before the end of happy hour. The staff was gracious enough to still give me the happy hour menu which has some really great deals! I decided to take advantage of the $30 special that includes a bottle of wine (you can choose between three whites and three reds) and a meat and cheese board. This was excellent decision and something I'll definitely do again. I chose the duck prosciutto which practically melted in my mouth and the fig chutney was addicting. For more eats to pair with our delicious wine, we got the Brussels sprouts that had an interesting Asian twist with the addition of Lap Xuong sausage, lamb meatballs over a great red quinoa "tabouli," butternut ricotta gnocchi (my fave) and some cinnamon bun bread pudding. On my first visit, I had the salt cod croquettes which I loved, along with a rabbit dish I no longer see on the menu. Based on every bite I have had here, I really don't think you can go wrong. The food menu isn't extensive but every dish is well thought out and perfectly paired with the wine. As you'd hope from a wine bar, the staff here is super knowledgable about the VERY extensive drink selection. They have weekly wine tastings on Saturdays which I plan on doing soon (and even a happy hour from 6-7pm on Saturdays which is refreshing). Throughout the week, they also bring in live music to play outside on the sidewalk! Last night, we had some nice blues in the back of our meal which was pleasant. This small place has definitely caught on among locals, as it was full throughout the night. Fine by me as long as it doesn't get *too* full. In other words, let's just keep it between you and me.
Nice swanky place to enjoy a glass of wine, but the food menu is WAY overpriced. I went here on a Saturday night with a friend and we both did a taste of a red wine. The wine was delicious and it was nice to be able to have a taste without committing to an entire glass. We decided to share the gnocchi as an appetizer, which was delicious but entirely too small. I was probably able to get a total of 4 bites from my half. The portions are more than a tapa, but smaller than an appetizer. Unfortunately, those portions are priced the same as an expensive steakhouse dinner. The small gnocchi was $17... Way too expensive. If they dropped their price in food I think I would become a regular at this place if I was in the mood for a glass of wine and a light bite. I'm definitely willing to give it another try, the cheese platter looks worthy.

Wow! Now this place has one of the best services in Miami. The food is also great along with their wine variety. The place is small and cozy, but you will not regret it. Simple deliciousness with a touch of refined.

I went to Uvaggio on a Saturday night with a close friend after deciding last minute to find a wine bar. It's small, quaint, very personal with impeccable service. We were not disappointed. The food was memorable and exciting. We had the Summer salad, Cauliflower dish, Chicken meatballs and Gnocci. The wine was incredible. We took Brian's suggestions based upon our descriptions to him of our favorite 'top choices' in most restaurants. I will definitely go back for more!

This is a very good wine bar. Vastly superior to Cibo across the street. It has a communal feeling and communal seating. They have a wine tasting special where they will serve you several 3 oz glasses of wine at half the price of a regular glass as if you were at an actual winery. Really great. Management also knows there wines. Polar opposite of Cibo. Great experience. Keep up the good work.

This is a great place to come in and eat. As a Yelp advertiser I was able to see what they had to offer before ever entering. It's a small little spot and feel quite intimate. Don't be surprised if you are sitting right next to another party. The best thing you do is when you arrive ask Craig or one of his well trained servers to bring you a great wine and pair it with what food they think is best. I didn't even look at the menu when I came in. We sat down and let them decide the courses and the wine pairings. We were very satisfied with everything they brought, unfortunately I don't remember what a single thing was called.

Great place to come and have a glass of wine and a tapa. Not many places in Miami that offer this kind of atmosphere. Wines are delicious and affordable and their tapas are amazing! A definite place to be at on a relaxing Saturday spot.

Was there for my second time last night and had yet again a wonderful experience. It is a small space, but they make you feel at home right away. I enjoyed my rose Syrah and we ordered the cheese plate, octopus and duck dish. All were yummy and presented beautifully. On top of the great food and wine, the staff there is very knowledgable, and on top of their game. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a nice glass of wine with some good grub.

My first time and definitely not my last. What an awesome experience. Our waiter was so experienced with the wine pairing. The cod fish croquets were delish!!! Oh the hummus yumm and the gnocchi was to die for. That night they had a jazz band from UM that played outside by the sidewalk that was great. Over all, this place is quaint, relaxing and a great experience.

Love, love, love this spot! I will definitely go out of my way when visiting Miami to stop at Uvaggio. Don't let the small space discourage you from stopping at this wonderful little tapas bar. They have a very eclectic menu and a highly diverse wine list. Both servers were enthusiastically informative about the menu and proper pairings for each entree, as well as offering suggestions and personal preferences so you keep yourself from ordering one of everything (it all sounded amazing). We started with the Yogurt Naan served with sesame seed goat cheese hummus, baba ghanoush, and olive tapenade. Very tasty, great start. For dinner, we split the lamb meatballs and both ordered our own octopus entree. The lamb was cooked to perfection, just slightly pink in the center, resting on red quinoa tabouli and dressed with saffron cardamom yogurt. Very flavorful and with 4 golfball size pieces it was a great option for sharing. Our waiter politely notified us that they would present our next order upon completing our first course and it did not disappoint. The octopus is a MUST TRY! Amazing. 2 large, tender, juicy pieces perfectly paired with Aji Amarillo that sneakily threw spice at your watering tastebuds. I wanted to go back the next evening for more. Phenomenal food, quick friendly service, and a great atmosphere with open doors and live instrumentals out front made this spot an easy 5 star review. An added side note: my mom and I arrived at Uvaggio after a very long plane ride, tired and a bit disheveled wearing frumpy clothes, and we were graciously served with friendly smiles and a genuine interest in providing a great experience. I can't wait to return to Miami and bring everyone I know to this spot.

Was looking for a new spot to wine down friday night and decided to try out Uvaggio since it was rated best wine bar on Miami new times best of list. I am pleased to say that it was definitely the right choice. Walked in and immediately sat at the bar, our server was quick to help recommend some wines to try and both selections he choose were perfect. You're given the option to choose from a 3 or 6 oz pour depending on how many wines you would like to try which is great since they have a good variety to choose from. Although I did not try any food everything on the menu sounded amazing I also heard a couple people complementing the chef. The server explained that they usually have wine and food pairings which I will be back to try. They also have happy hour Monday-Saturday from 5-7 as well as a wine tasting on saturday from 4-5. The place is small yet I never once felt overly crowded. Before I even left the restaurant I could not wait to go back.I must say I am plesently surprised with this restaurant I can see it giving some other well known restaurants on miracle mile a run for their money. Not to mention EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Cute little place for a random wine night or date night The place is very very small inside , and it is always full, so I recommend going on a weekday They have a big selection of wines , moderate price. The tapas I found to be a little overpriced. I had the cheese plate (16) which was ok, and some cheese bread which I can't recall the name, which was delicious. they have live singers outside until 10pm,

Uvaggio is one of those places that can appear to be very intimidating because of its small size, unique menu, and fancy wine list. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that this restaurant -- and its staff-- are anything but stuffy and intimidating. I went here on a double date -- and I'd recommend it to nearly anyone. We are a relatively young group with not a ton of wine knowledge (or money!), but they were incredibly accommodating and quick to give us a lot of suggestions. At the same time, the people at the table next to us were clearly seasoned wine veterans and the servers had plenty of suggestions for their more refined tastes. If you're not sure what wine to order, trust the servers. They were very willing to suggest bottles on the lower price side of things. When it comes to food, it appears you cannot go wrong! I highly recommend the naan, lamb meatballs, and the cheese plate. That being said, I have my eye on a few other items that I can't wait to try when I return!

My favorite wine bar in the city!!! The food is fantastic and the wine selection is like wine heaven for a wine lover. The place is small so it gives it an intimate atmosphere. The owners are usually there and check up on the tables and suggest wine pairings. They really know their wines. This place is a must visit in Miami.

Tonight I discovered one of the best place "boutique" wine bars in Coral Gables. Maximum capacity 30. This means that sometime soon this place will be the toughest place to get a seat. So while it is still "undiscovered" and a well-kept secret, I encourage you to visit it. The service is very attentive and the starters for the most part were tasty. Like many Yelpers recommend please try the cod croquettes they were a big WOW, the $5 happy hour prosecco & peach bellinis were quite good, the naang bread was well-made although not all the dips were equally tasty. The naang app comes with three dips so different strokes for different folks. The brussel sprouts were a bit over done for my tasty but it comes with bacon bits and everything is better with bacon. Definitely worth checking out.

Ask about private parties because not only can you have the place to yourself, but you'll definitely have the best host and service!!!!! Heath will take care of your groups for a sit down sinner of 30. Or they can take up to 40!!! Give Heath a call!!

This place is perfect. Fantastic food, all of which is slightly different from the norm. Great wine list, again all slightly different from the norm. My husband and I love that you can order a 3 oz pour. Allowed us to try a few different wines without getting too tipsy. The service was also great - very fast and helpful without feeling pressure to turn the table. The fact that it is close to our house is he icing on the cake!

What a great little place! The owner and the entire staff are very pleasant and help make the experience that much better! The wines are great and you getup try them all before you are served your glass! Food is great and the communal seating adds and fun element to the whole thing. Must try! Great for a date night or a girls night out.

If slapping yourself for not trying Uvaggio soon enough is off the table then you probably won't appreciate the power of a delicious full bodied broad of a wine slicing the rich fatty silk of a braised short rib like a Samurai and making you say "dammmmn" out loud either. (Order this... Especially if cheeses makes you feel some type of way since the party going on beneath the meat is seriously no joke) BUT if you do then you'll be happier than a pig in shit when you realize the carefully selected wine list and graciously unobtrusive server knows you're en route to cloud 9. Let's begin by noting that the wine list has every nuance and feeling readily available for evoking. If you want something peppery and floral it's there. If you're feeling vindictive and devilish it's that Masseria lol If you order the Gravalax there's like 3 wines in there that can make you hungrier or sit you back down and make you scream uncle. The food here is wonderful, the only dish we ordered that didn't make us go bananas was the gnocchi.. didn't take me anywhere considering the rest was superb and carouseled me around like a 4 year old. I wish they had a private area for days I want to hide out and not be seen doing the happy food shimmie, I like this place.

Nice little spot on Miracle Mile. Seating is limited and you may have to share a table with randoms depending on your party size. The service was good. I was a fan of the cod croquettes. They have a unique list of wine to choose from. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Went to Uvaggio after work last night for the first time and was very impressed. The happy hour specials were great and the service was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the wines and food and was able to make excellent recommendations. My friend arrived before me and she was offered a sample of the Prosecco to try and ordered a glass while waiting for me. They brought her a complimentary tapas - Potato Croquetas - which were excellent. We then heard the descriptions of the happy hour wines for the day and took the waiter's recommendation for the Spanish white. The bottle was only $30 and came with a meat and cheese board! The black truffle honey with the blue cheese and fig chutney with the goat that night were excellent pairings. By that point unfortunately we were pretty full but couldn't leave without trying the octopus. The aji Amarillo sauce and jicama were amazing accompaniments. I would have preferred a slightly different texture to the octopus, but overall good. Will definitely be going back to try more items on the menu!

This is the cutest little place ever!! My friend and I sat outside on one of their barrel-used-as-a-table set up and it was super fun! We thought it would be annoying with lots of people walking by, but it wasn't like that at all (we went on a Thursday night). Happy hour menu is great!! I wanted to try all their wines, but was only able to go through the Blueberry Jito, and it was bomb!! I like my cocktail on the sweeter side, and it was perfect. My friend had the Gingie and it was phenomenal as well, not too ginger-y Then we tried the naan bread, gnocchi and croquetas. Bomb! I highly recommend the bread and gnocchi. Croquetas were good, kinda like crab cake, but I might have not enjoyed it as much b/c I was so freaking full? I am definitely coming back to this place for some live jazz on Monday! Whoo

This is a small place with tables that are meant to be shared with others. Gets filled up quick so expect to wait. I had gone to the taste of the Gables and tried one of their signature dishes, octopus. It was Delicious citrus and perfectly cooked. For appetizers we had the cod croquettes which was good and also had the terrine which had a delicious jalapeño jelly. Now for the entrees. I must say that the octopus was amazing and the Short rib was also incredible. It was Delicate usually short ribs are braised in a heavy wine base. Well this was the opposite but with a lot of delicate Light flavors. It did not mask the meat instead you focused on how tender and flavorful each bite was. Dessert was not your typical choice of something chocolate with ice cream. I chose the biscuit with the most unique blend of basil and citrus. It was something special. The owner comes out to ask how you have liked all of the dishes and by talking to him you can tell that this is his passion not only on the explanation of his dishes but by the execution of each dish. Great place only draw back is that it is small and people tend to linger so the wait could be long. Be patient it's worth it.

We visited this lovely place for a Saturday wine tasting (which they have weekly). They limit the tasting to around 25 people and Heath, the host/co-partner/comedian provides a non-stuffy wine tasting experience. 6 samplings felt sufficient. We enjoyed it! Immediately after the wine tasting, Happy Hour starts...which is a smart move by them, as everyone is tipsy and looking to eat! We had: -Board with Duck prosciutto (yum!!) and chicken pate (not my fave)...would have loved to double up on duck prosciutto which was perfectly, sweet/fatty/tender! -Cod Croquettes: some of the best I had! Cod tasted fresh and perfect amount of saltiness. Yum! -Naan with dipping sauces (hummus, baba ganoush, etc). Excellent! -Brussel sprouts with fig: interesting combo that worked! Would def recommend this small gem. It doesn't look fancy, but they're doing some good work in there!

Came here for late night dinner and appetizers since we saw it closed at 11. We arrived at 10 and and were quickly rushed for the order since their kitchen closed at 10 and they'd try to 'squeeze our order' in the waiter was very rude rather than helpful; everyone just seemed annoyed that new people had walked in at 10 even though it closes at 11; we quickly got up and hopped over to Bulla only 3 min away and had an amazing time ! So thank you Uvaggio, had it not been for your bad experience ; we would've never found the hidden gem of Bulla!

Do not come here. Stay away. Just don't. You're going to ruin it for the rest of us. Stellar service, wine and food. The wait staff is completely comprised of sommeliers, so when this be-plaided millenial comes over your table spewing rapid fire facts and tasting notes about your wine, he's not actually making it up - and, woah, it does actually pair perfectly with the food. (All I need to tell you about the food is goat cheese hummus and cinnamon roll bread pudding - you get it right? It's bonkers good. Bonkers). The space is small, which is why I humbly demand you skip it - if only so that I can selfishly secure a seat at a communal table sans the hassle of fighting a crowd of foodies clamoring over what is sure to become a must-try. Highlights: Everything, but the big draw here is the unparalleled service and the complete absence of a pretentious attitude: have some fun with it, everybody else here is.

This place is a home run. If you enjoy interesting dishes with great flavor, and you enjoy wine, then this place is for you. The menu, which changes often, includes interesting takes on some Mediterranean classics. We had the homemade naan, the gnocchi, Brussel sprouts, and the octopus. Each dish was excellently prepared and bursting with flavor! We let the server, Nicholas chose half glass wine pairings with each dish, and we loved all his choices. The service was great, and the experience was totally unique. We'll definitely be back, and will come out for Saturday wine tasting too!

Uvaggio is such a wonderful addition to Miracle Mile! It has the elegance that diners expect of The Mile but without the pretentiousness that sometimes follows. I had visited the wine bar and restaurant a few times with friends and was impressed with the quaint yet fresh atmosphere, knowledgeable and approachable staff and delicious and unique tapas. Lots of meat AND veggie options which I love as a non-meat eater. The gnocchi and cauliflower are a must-try! I was really blown away when they were able to accommodate 5 coworkers and I with special tasting during the week to celebrate my boss's birthday. Heath and his team were not only willing to work with us to put together something relaxed but special for our celebration but welcomed the group on a busy Thursday evening with just a day's notice. The table was set beautifully, the tasting was relaxed, informative and conversational and they even provided an over-sized champagne glass complete with bubbly for a special birthday treat! (Much better than a simple dessert with a candle!) We all had a blast and are thankful for the great experience.

The restaurant has more of a focus on wine than on the food but despite that, the food still shines. Food is served tapas styles representing different parts of the world.

Really excellent. Octopus was stellar, incredibly tender. Veal sweetbreads were awesome. Perfectly balanced dish. Rabbit was solid. Cod croquettes also great. Wines were good, but the best drink we ordered was the "gingie" - prosecco with ginger syrup and candied ginger. Great service. And knowledgeable about the wines served. No reservations, unfortunately. Small restaurant. Remarkably loud though.
Just awesome! Service- great; food- great; atmosphere- great! We had: brussel sprouts, cauliflower, meatballs and the cheese plate and all were on point! Never had veggies taste that good, but surely it has to do with the fact that they smothered them with the world's best meat- bacon! Will return for sure. And they have one amazing happy hour, which runs till 7- so make it happen!

Delicious! They were very attentive and even with a packed house the food and wine was delivered reasonably. The short rib was a little fatty but delicious. The Brussel sprouts were my favorite. Loved the recommended white wine! Definitely will return!

We only went because a friend of ours was performing (Monday nights, check her out!!), but ended up finding one of our favorite new places. We started with the cheese plate, which was incredibly well thought out and composed. Then the pear salad, which was hands down my favorite dish of the night. We tried the cauliflower, which was so different and intriguing, woke up our palates! Finished with the lamb meatballs, another very different and flavorful dish. All dishes were well-seasoned, flavorful, and incredibly thoughtful. Also, our service was excellent. Our server genuinely seemed to adore everything on the menu, and we looked forward to his descriptions when he brought dishes to the table. We were too full to get dessert but we're definitely going back!

Great service, great food! The only thing that was a bit of a downer was waiting for a table. We were 4 people, and it was prime time I have to admit, so we ended up waiting about 45 minutes standing. I still rated 5 stars because honestly they made our wait as pleasant as possible. The restaurant is a small hole in the wall and boy do they rock it. Plates are small, tapas like and great for sharing. We had the cod croquettes, the lamb meatballs, the octopus, the ox tail and the duck confit. It was all amazing! No complains at all, each dish was made perfectly and delicious. Drank the Washington Cabernet and that too was yummy. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for a new place on Miracle Mile. I'm sure you've never even noticed walking by. It's directly across Tarpon Bend. It's a must try!!

This was a great experience. The wines were absolutely amazing and the staff was very friendly. Every dish was very good - you will have to order a few to share because it is tapas style. If you are looking for a small dinner or appetizer place, this is perfect. I loved the cheese plate, the gnocchi, and the salt cod dishes. If you are looking for a big dinner, I would go elsewhere. The chocolate desert was incredible as well. Very cool atmosphere, they also will serve at the bar. The one downside is that it is a bit small and they do not take reservations so you will have to wait about 20-30 minutes.

My boyfriend & I went to Uvaggio on a whim last night. We were actually looking to find a place where we could enjoy some dessert & a glass of champagne & Uvaggio came up on my bookmarked places! We were warmly greeted by Uvaggio's waiter & explained to him what we were looking for. He directed us towards a Prosseco that would give us more bang for our buck! I normally steer clear of Prosseco because it's very sweet, but the bottle we were recommended was excellent! After going through the menu, we could not pass up the cheese platter! It was absolutely delicious! There were three different cheeses (I'm sorry I can't remember which ones), a fig chutney, & guava paste. It was all exquisite! Now, to attend to what we really came here for, we ordered a cinnamon bun bread pudding. I don't like bread pudding & the waiter's description of the dessert had me a "cinnamon buns"! I didn't regret it one bit! It was absolutely delicious! I recommend Uvaggio to all! Great wine selection, tapas, dessert, & service!

Came here on a Thursday for happy hour with a friend. They had a great happy hour deal, where for 30$, you could choose from one of four bottles of wine and a meat and cheese tabla that was very good. The service was excellent and we were served by a nice and helpful guy named Nicholas. He was very attentive and very knowledgable about the different types of wine. On the menu were also many wines I had never heard of, and though I normally prefer red wines, we ordered a recommended white that was delicious and refreshing. We also ordered the hummus flatbread. The naan bread was almost overly seasoned. I don't think they were the right accompaniment for a hummus and other dpi sort of appetizer. The naan bread was so seasoned that it would have almost been better as a separate menu item, while hummus lacked flavor, and did not taste of goat cheese at all. I just wouldn't order this dish again, although my friend really enjoyed it. All in all, it was a great experience and the wine selection was incredible. I will definitely go back.

Absolutely loved this place! Cozy, intimate, communal type seating which is not a common find. Fantastic wine list, you'll find wines here that no other restaurant will have. And the food, well, it is delicious. We had the short rib, the duck confit and the chicken meatballs. Their dishes are in between tapas and entree size, which is just perfect if you want to try several different ones. To finish our meal we had the carrot cake which was not overtly sweet and just what we wanted to end our meal. Can't wait to come back again!

I moved to Miami 9 months ago. Service in this city is mediocre at best in some of its finest dining establishments. Music is often too loud and tables crowded because this is a see and be seen city. I get that. That is why I don't review restaurants in Miami. My review would be unfair. I can however give you a fair review of Uvaggio. The service is impeccable. They did not miss a beat from the welcome to accommodating our 6 person party to keeping waters full, wine recommendations, and lastly comped extra dish to our already full table of tapas. The food was some of the best I have had in all of Miami. I have dined in cities from Dubai to NYC and every dish we had (7 total) was worth ordering again. That almost never happens. I love wine bars but what makes a great wine bar is a knowledgable and patient staff. Our server was knowledgable, patient and helpful. The wines were well chosen and not ones that you see everyday so the experience is truly unique. The atmosphere is really very pleasant and overall my experience was 5 stars plus. Highly recommended.

I never write reviews but this place SOOO deserves it!!!!! I can't explain how comforting and how much I love the fact that servers (the owners serve you by the way) are so great and the food is DELICIOUS!!! You must stop here-croquetas, cheese plate etc..ALL WORTH IT!!! Wine selection is fabulous.

It keeps getting better. While there are some great well known dining options in the Gables, Uvaggio might just be my new favorite. From the creatively written menu to the wine glasses, this restaurant has "class" written all over it. Heath and Bret knocked it out of the park for our group late last night. From the Braised Beef Short Rib with one of my favorite cheeses, taleggio, to the roasted cauliflower with pistachios, Uvaggio rocks! Congrats guys, you've built a destination that's worthy of leaving Key Biscayne.
What can I say service is five stars, wine selections five stars the wines are like boutique selection wines over 40 to choose from and excellent! The beers are original you can't find them in other place and if so let me know! The food? Well let's just say it's TOP CHEF! Seriously it is a top chef you know from the Bravo show! Ohhhhh and by the way some nights live music, Jazz on Wednesday! This place is my new favorite!

What a great place to learn about and consume an excellent range of varied and delicious wines! Everyone on the wait staff is a sommelier and it shows. The octopus was delectable and the charcuterie board, which included duck breast prosciutto was exquisite. The smallness of the place adds to its warmth. My wife and I enjoyed it all around and would recommend it to anyone (with a fine palate, that is!;)

Yum! I had the pleasure of sitting at the bar where Keith recommended all kinds of marvelous wines. He was more than helpful! I had the cheese course followed by the rabbit (which was my first) and finished off with the strawberry dessert. Hm hm hm!! Divine!!!! They will be seeing me again soon! Great place for all kinds of gatherings. Whether a date night, ladies night, or group event. They attend all. Highly recommend! Especially for wine lovers!!

First of all I wanna say how great of a time I had here! I didn't even want to leave. Their live music was awesome. The ambiance and setting were great. The owner was such a sweet heart and gave me the greatest service I've had in miami. I loved the wine, I loved the food, and I just loved this whole place! I have nothing negative to say except that the dishes are a little small for the price, but that's not even too much of a complaint because they just tasted so amazing they were worth every penny. I had the lamb and braised short ribs, and like a bread one can't remember the name. Desert was also great. The owner was such a cool guy I can't wait to go back and try some more wines! I want to check out happy hour next as they have a meat and cheese plate. You will love going here!
Best octopus I've tried in Miami!!!! We tried the cod croquettes , short ribs, and the octopus. Everything was great but the octopus definitely stood out!

Wow! Totally blown away. We stopped in for a glass of wine and ending up staying a while. Our server was beyond knowledgable about everything! We told him what we were craving and he took charge. Every sip and bite was magical. He helped us chose 2 tapas and desserts with wines to match. He was completely spot on! It was a dining experience we plan to repeat soon. The tapas were a little pricey. Our water glasses were never empty and the entire staff was nice.

Tried Uvaggio for the first time and had an enjoyable time. They have a diverse and vast list of wines, plus other offerings like appetizers, small plates and dessert. My husband and I stopped by after a late dinner and were able to enjoy a quiet and romantic time. We had the Chateau Potensac, Medoc (Bordeaux, France), and paired it with their cheese platter which was a combo. The ambience is intimate with contemporary decor, very nice. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Delicious little gem on miracle mile. Must haves include the cauliflower, octopus and if you're in the mood for something hearty try the short rib. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the night I went, the restaurant was really quiet and the lights could have been dimmed a bit so ambiance was a little lacking however these are not reasons not to try Uvaggio as the wine selection is phenomenal as is the food.

Meh. We called two days ahead for a reservation at 7pm. We were told okay, we will try our best to hold a table for you, but should be no problem. Fast-forward: We show up at 6:50pm the day of our "reservation" and there is no table available. The owner told us, 15 minutes and one of the tables will open up. Mind you, there are only 6 tables in the whole restaurant. So, we saddle up to the bar, to try to get a drink....tried 4 different wines before settling on one. For a wine bar, the lack of good options was truly unfortunate. I drink a lot of wine and have been to numerous wineries around the world, so I know a little something about wine. 30 minutes go by, there is still not a table open, nor is any table make moves (paying, etc.) to leave. At that point we decided to brave the rains and go somewhere else. Uvaggio's Happy Hour business (from 5 to 7pm) is filling the tables early with women enjoying some wine and cheese, but killing the turn over to dinner. Lesson Learned: Either you take reservations or you do not. Also, the furniture is wayyyyy to big for the small space. If the tables were a little smaller, the owners might be able to fit another table or two. Bottomline: Might be okay for happy hour, but the wine was bad. The reservation situation was poorly handled (comp a glass of wine?). Too bad; we would have been repeat customers.

Jazz duo on wed. Offers tastes of small production wines, so you can try before you buy. Vegetarian appetizers and carnivore options. Nice, easy vibe.

Uvaggio looked like a winner when i read about it on Yelp!! Well/ Pues they were correct. Uvaggio matches their superb wines with great food. Wow!!! it is a small wine bar and restaurant on Miracle Mile which opens at 5PM,and closes at Midnight. we had the octopus, the spare ribs, croquetas, cauliflower, and olives, all really good. their tapas, are larger than most tapas and can be considered a smallish entree. the interior is very nice and the service, expertise and friendliness are all part of the Uvaggio experience.

Bottom line.. shady selling tactics.. Food and wine were great. At 2 different points during the evening I felt pressured to order up. The first I had just arrived and didn't even have a table. The waiter told me He could get me a table if we start ordering food otherwise he'll lose a lot of money. Nevertheless we started ordering while sitting on the outside barrels which is why we went there to begin with. The second time took place as I had just gotten the table. A different waiter told us that we need to order a lot of food. It was 9 of us there and we didn't go to admire the decoration. We wanted tapas and wine. The wine selection is impressive both in range and prices. The tapas... delicious! I knew they were pricey before I got there because I had checked the menu online.

Very unexpected surprise! It's a very cozy and small place. The staff is great, friendly, and know their stuff. They have only been open for 11 weeks. Definitely need to check this place out!

Fantastic concept, especially in a city where it's hard to find a chill place to have a drink with your wife. Highly recommended, must try the octopus dish. Great selection of wines and some beers. The owner Craig is extremely nice and accommodating. We will hopefully make this a more frequent hangout for us.

Loved it! From the prices to the selections I was amazed at how beautiful the food looked and how incredible it tasted. Their prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are excellent. Wine selection was great. They have done a great job putting this place together I will definitely come back

Went there for happy hour, and had a great experience. Only draw back was that they don't really have a true happy hour. They have two wines available for HH. That does not a happy hour make, however, we stayed because of the attentive service and wonderful food. We had the roasted cauliflower and octopus. They were amazing. I had two glasses of wine, at $12 glasses each. My friend had dessert. Our bill was close to $90 for "happy hour." I will definitely go back, if only for the cauliflower. I would recommend you go for dinner, but this is not a good happy hour location.

"You wanna go where everybody knows your name and there always glad you came.." This new spot is upscale but approachable. When you walk in, you feel like you just got to your buddy's house for dinner. Ever wanna sit and catch up with a friend over a bottle of wine, but don't want a sit-down dinner? They put a spin on traditional tapas. They use coconut and vanilla, blood orange and black truffle, lemon and oregano. They have a pork terrine with homemade jalapeño jam. You can even buy a jar of that homemade jam ans have it all to yourself. Well now that I've stimulated your senses, let me tell you about the wines. This is the real reason I come to Uvaggio. They have one of the most extensive wine selections by the glass. And if you don't know wine, but sure like to drink it; you'll get a crash course after reading their list. They use fun and approachable descriptions like, "Plus sized wines, full bodied... if you're into that kind of thing". The Uvaggio team is approachable and have extensive knowledge about their menu and their wine. The service is exceptional! They make everyone feel like a VIP. Go grab a glass of wine and some fancy snacks at Uvaggio. You'll have a 5 star experience at a 3 star price.

We were blown away by our experience here tonight. Although they opened up recently, everything was flawless and they clearly know what they are doing. The wines-by-the-glass selection is excellent, with about 20 different choices. These are not the sort of wines you would find in your typical restaurant, but rather in the cellar of a wine collector that focuses on hard-to-get wines. Prices ranged from $9 - $18 for these wines. However, they have a special list on a chalkboard showcasing higher-end wines such as a 1996 Brunello. These were about $25-30 a glass. You can also choose a 3-ounce tasting portion for many of their wines at a lower price. I was surprised by the quality, complexity, and presentation of their food, as I went only because I was intrigued by the wine. We ordered the Naan bread appetizer which included hummus, baba ghanoush, and olive tapenade. The bread is crazy delicious...so juicy and flavorful, I could have eaten it by itself. After this came the cod croquetas, which were served with an aioli dipping sauce. For our entree, we chose the duck confit and the short rib, both spectacular and bursting with flavor. The portions for the entrees are small plates, so approximately equal to what I have received at high-end French restaurants. The highlight of the meal is the pairing of the wine with the food. Our server (not the owner, although he was there) is a genius. Not only did he recommend perfect wines, he was very knowledgeable when it came to various types of wines and regions. He described each wine and meal perfectly, making our mouth water during our order and when he brought them out. I actually spoke with the owner and the two servers/bartenders, and they all seemed to be very cool people that love what they do and are actually great at it. As we left, I paid a compliment to the owner that just flowed naturally out of me: If I were to start my own wine bar, it would be exactly like Uvaggio. 'Nuff said, we will back several times a month for both the wine and the food.

We stumbled upon Uvaggio yesterday afternoon and were immediately enticed by the wonderful decor and friendly staff, so we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was amazing, very well thought out and classy without being uninviting. Everyone who worked there was wonderful to us, and made great suggestions. If you're not sure what you are in the mood for regarding the food, I would just let them order for you. My favorite drink was the Gingi, made with prosecco and ginger. It was so refreshing and sweet with a hint of ginger, and I wanted to just keep drinking them forever. But their wine selection is very extensive, and from what I saw, quite reasonable. All in all, it was a fabulous afternoon and I will be back very soon.

The owner is quite a personality! We had a blast sitting at the bar an talking to him and getting flights made for us. (DONT GO TO THE PLACE ACROSS THE STREET) We know wine moderately well and went in and told him we wanted some unusual wines. He gave us exactly what we asked for and explained everything. I was a visitor to Miami for a wedding but I wish this place was down the street from me. Oh and I cant forget the food. I had eaten dinner but wanted to something so I wouldn't feel the alcohol. THIS WAS AMAZING FOOD. His pairing was a marriage and he said they built the food around the wine! loved it!

Great find during my brief stay back in Miami. I was headed back to the hotel early but decided to detour for some wine and a small amount of food. So happy I decided on Uvaggio, among the many wine bar choices on Miracle Mile. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, especially Nicholas, who directed me to a Lebanese wine I'd never heard of - Chateau Masur 1999, which was amazing like none I've ever had. Turns out all the staff are sommeliers, or working towards qualifying. I had only the short rib, which was excellent and an exactly right sized portion. Well, I did add a bit of Humboldt Fog cheese at the end - to go with the extra 3 oz pour I couldn't resist... Excellent time!

New place in Miracle Mile. Salt cod croquettes are so amazing. Wine selection is out of this world. You order food and they will pair you to the right wine for the dish. Prices are amazing for the gourmet food being paired with great wine. Just an amazing place with great atmosphere.

I attended a wine tasting this past Saturday and was blown away. This is a must do for all, wine drinkers and not-so much wine drinkers, completely unpretentious and extraordinarily inviting. The Sommelier is the kind of guy you want to kick back and have a beer with, awesome environment. I only noshed of a few appetizers but they were divine. The service was unbelievable, your glass is never empty and your table is constantly manicured. Check this place out you will not regret it!!!!!!

Such a great experience ... friendly, unpretentious staff (Ryan was great) who are more than happy to work with you and select wines, etc. for you ... all the plates we got (and we got a LOT) were phenomenal and innovative (kudos to the chef, who was on Top Chef, mind you), except the lamb meatballs which were a overdone ... will definitely come back.

This place blew me away! The food, the drinks and the service were amazing. The menu is small and is perfection. We had most of the items on the menu between the 4 of us. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! My only and only issue was the noise level but the food was so good it completely compensated for that. The Veal gnocchi and the braised short rib are out of this world!

Been here a handful of times and we have had a fantastic experience. The food is absolutely delicious; everything we tried was outstanding including the duck confit, the rabbit, and the pork rillettes. However, the standout dish is their incredible octopus. The combination of flavors in that dish makes me want to go back right away. The aji amarillo with the octopus and the patatas are just perfect. The service is friendly and prompt and the staff and owners are just plain nice which is a rare find in Miami.

We went in at about 10:15 last night. The waiter never made us feel rushed to get out of there. He was very attentive, and knew the menu front and back. There aren't a crazy amount of choices for food , but that is probably to make everything as fresh as possible! The dishes were VERY fresh and full of flavor. The duck , short ribs, and octopus were amazing. I am not much of a wine guy, but my friend was very happy with their wine selection. I will go back next time i'm in town for sure!
(5)
S K.
Great meal guaranteed. Creative but accessible menu. They offer 3 oz pours of their extensive wine selection so you can pair with different plates. Recommendations: the octopus is a must, easily the best in town, as is the molten chocolate cake. We'll be back for sure!

Nice date spot! Fun to sample different wines. Good for sharing food!! The place is cozy and cute and the staff was super friendly and eager to provide recommendations. My boyfriend and I shared the delicious naan bread and an amazing short rib dish. We also shared a yummy strawberry cake for dessert. It was all delicious. We were very happy.

Wine is devine always, but when this is combined with incredible food and service...one cannot go wrong! Everyone is warm, inviting, and helpful with suggestions to amaze the curious patron. Food has to be really impressive to "wow" me because I cook very well. The menu does not disappoint. Food is prepared with thoughts of the perfect marriage of flavors. The veal sweetbreads are to die for, but do not overlook the duck confit. Happy hour is creative offering enticing prices on boutique bottles of either red or white, never to disappoint. This place is small but has a powerful punch. The only negative is the cumbersome table and chairs, but if one drinks enough wine ...this goes unnoticed. Say hello to Jules and let him wine and dine you...Enjoy!

We loved Uvaggio the service was amazing as well as the food and wine! We ate the cod croquettes the octopus the veal sweetbread and they were all so amazing. The strawberry dessert was a perfect ending. We enjoyed the experience greatly and will definitely be returning soon!!

This place was absolutely amazing! Small and cozy atmosphere with communal tables. This place is perfect for a date night. The server recommended Foxen Pinot Noir which was delicious. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and delicious: cod croquettes, naan bread with dips, watermelon chevre salad, and the short rib. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough of the pomme puree underneath the short rib. Seriously, I could have eaten a gallon of it! Then for dessert, we were thinking about the cinnamon roll bread pudding but the server swayed us to order the strawberry shortcake and it did not disappoint. Everything at this restaurant is made with fresh ingredients and lots of love and dedication to their craft. Please try this place out, you will not be disappointed!

This is the real deal: a place with people passionate about wine and paring it with food! The variety of wines is wonderful- clearly chosen by a sommelier! The good news is all the expertise of high caliber wine bar with none of the snobbiness. Very one here is super friendly and willing to explain the menu and wines to you. We had the cheese and "meats" plate - both with excellent quality artisan foods that went wonderfully with the wine. Very welcoming place - a true gem for Coral Gables. I can't wait until they get the permit for tables outside. (Takes a few months in Coral Gables but I am fine sitting inside until then! ) In the meantime, go and enjoy- you will not be disappointed.

We went to Uvaggio on a Friday night. It was a decent dinner but didn't leave me wanting to come back anytime soon with all the options in Miami. We ordered 4 dishes: the cauliflower (really flavorful), the beef short rib (incredible), the naan (pretty good) and the meatballs (surprisingly bland). Our server was very nice and attentive. We took 3 of his recommendations (cauliflower, naan and meatballs), but we thought the beef short rib was by far the best dish. What brought the service experience down was another runner asked us if we wanted more naan to go with the remaining hummus and ghanoush. We thought it was a nice offer and accepted, only to be charged $5 for the additional naan (of which we only had two pieces). We were a little perturbed that they didn't make the naan complimentary, or tell us there was an additional charge for the naan. There are also communal tables in case that turns some people off (it was fine for us). Aside from that, I also loved the selection of wine, particularly the Abadia De Gomariz Malbec.

Very good...newly opened but look forward to returning and trying new items on the menu...good selection of wines paired well with the menu offerings.

Incredible evening. Food and wine pairings suggested by staff were spectacular. Enjoyed trying different wines throughout the night. Try the short rib and duck confit. The cauliflower was like nothing else I have ever tasted. Would be great with group of 4 or 6 so as to try even more dishes. Will be back very very soon

Uvaggio is small and intimate. The service, attention to detail and knowledge of wines by the staff was excellent. The tapas were all very good. Our group of 6 had a great time. Larger groups may be more difficult to accommodate.

Hidden gem that is definitely worth trying! I wish they were open for lunch! This is the type of place where you can tell the owner spends a lot of time at. The space can at times feel awkward because it is so small, but uvaggio more than makes up for that with personality and food. The menu is extensive both on the food and wine side. I think the prices are reasonable for how detail oriented the food was and the quality of the food. The cauliflower and naan bread are a must try. I came here to celebrate my birthday one time and they were very welcoming and even have me a huge glass of wine and said it was their tradition. I love that they went the extra mile and did that. Overall a great place to come with friends and enjoy a bunch of delicious plates with some wine.

Brian C.
Absolutely phenomenal experience. Creative wine list with some under-the-radar wines that you would not find anywhere else. In addition, the food was fantastic with some dishes that were pretty mind-blowing. Somehow, they also seem to have the nest naan bread anyone in our party has ever had...not bad for a wine bar. A great welcome addition to the city, we need many more restaurants like this.
(5)
Arnaldo M.
Great place! We tried the bacalao croquettes, excellent taste and the sauce was amazing. The bread with humus also excellent. The chocolate lava cake is delicious. Would definitely come back to this place

Everything about this restaurant is phenomenal. There is an excellent selection of wines, with the servers ready to help you find one you'll like in the extensive list. The environment is warm and friendly right when you walk in. And the food is excellent- it's so creative and delicious you'll want to go back for more. I think the greatest part about this restaurant is how affordable and down to earth this place is.

The bill sneaked up on me, turned out to cost much more than I expected. Great place to go once, don't think that I will return. Food is great if that is your taste.

I really wanted to keep this place to myself but ok they deserve it... I Loved every single detail of today's dinner, from the wide selection of wines to the delicate silverware. We ordered the wahoo crudo, the cheese plate , and the octopus. Everything had its charm and I have to say that I was impressed by the delicate plating. I highly recommend this place if you're a food and wine enthusiast looking for a perfect spot. I will be back very soon. Probably tomorrow......

What does this place offer? Without a doubt an orgasm to your palate! Everything here is sensational starting with the service you couldn't have more attentive and knowledgeable people attending to you, even when the place is completely full. Then there is the great selection of wines, you can choose a wine from the menu and have the bottle, 6 oz, or 3 oz servings, or instead go with wines that are already paired with the meals you choose to have (we chose this and couldn't be happier). Now for the food we got three different tapas each with their pairing of wine. The first thing we got was octopus paired with a Sicilian white wine, then veal sweet bread paired with a red wine, and finally the rabbit with another great red wine. We were very satisfied at the end of the night wouldn't change a thing. Now just to remind everyone this is a tapas sharing style place so don't expect huge American portions, the portions here are great for two people to have drinks with and relax but if you are starving and like huge portions then it might not be the place for you. One last thing to know is that there is a possibility that you will be seated with other people they have a communal style sitting, I found it fun because you get to meet a few interesting people which I felt was part of the experience. In short we loved this place and will definitely be coming back.

I went there with a group of friends and we had a GREAT TIME! I had the Braised Beef Short Rib and it was fork tender and very tasty! Also the wait staff was very informative and knowledgeable in regards to their extensive wine list and food pairings with the wines that they have. From what I understand the food menu will change based on seasonal ingredients and I will definitely be going back to see what they are cooking up at Uvaggio! Oh yeah, I don't drink wine all to frequently, but the wine I tried was GOOD and they also have cocktails and good quality BEER for guys like me!

Phenomenal! I loved the duck dish and the sweet bread. I told them what type of wine I like and let them choose. Each choice was better than the last. It was a great experience.

In one word, WOW!!! Can I give them 10 stars. Impeccable service, a nearly extinct species in Miami. You really get the feeling that the Staff love their job and really want to be there. Their meals are a foodie delight, delicious and the wait staff know exactly what wine to.pair the meal with for the best experience. What's really nice is they offer 1/2 glasses.so that you can try different wines with the various entries or apps. I hate for this hidden gem to become so popular that you can't get a table, but I can help myself from giving them a rave review. Thanks uvaggio for a great experience! I'll def be back and I'm telling all.my friends.

Great little place for unique flavors. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and best food pairings. L'Arco Valli cello was the best. Cod croquettes were okay, but the marinated olives and then the cauliflower/cury/fig mix were excellent. Definitely a come back place.

Really really good food. No gimmicks. No high style. Its about relaxing and having a great satisfying meal that still shows some serious cooking without having to be pompous. And the service is top. This place is just opening and its small so make sure to go before it gets tough.

I had the great fortune of being invited to dinner here, otherwise I would have never discovered this little gem of a wine bar in Coral Gables. They drive a unique concept of "tasting backwards" where the menu begins with the wines, upon which complementary food is paired. My night started with veggies, actually a vegetable cocktail called "You can't handle vermouth", made with its namesake and beets!! It was delicious, and in my mind healthy, making to all the better. Heath Porter, managing partner and a ommelier or head wino-o as he calls himself took excellent care of us with six wines and six courses. All were fantastic, but my three absolute favs were the watermelon and peppered goat cheese salad (outstanding), the sous vide rabbit (ridiculously tender), and the veal sweetbreads with potato gnocchi (no words). All of this amazing food and wine wrapped up in your local bar. A must do.

I wish I could give this place more stars! So glad we discovered this gem right across the street from our condo. I've never seen a restaurant staff so passionate about their jobs. The sommelier and one of the owners were talking to every table, making great recommendations, it seemed like they were friends with everyone in the restaurant. The guy behind the bar was fantastic as well, we didn't have the chance to try any of their cocktails but he explained they make everything possible in house. My only very minor complaint is that the menu is very adventourous, you won't find a basic steak or chicken option, which is fine with me but my simple husband would like a less daring option. I had the duck confit, and it was incredible, everything on the plate worked so perfectly together. The pinot noir recommended by the bartender was the perfect match, and I loved the option of a half glass so I could enjoy something more bold after dinner. We had the cinnamon roll bread pudding also, do not leave without trying it! My next glass was a cabernet from Washington that was highly recommended by one of the owners, and it was spectacular. This is a no frills, no ego place and every wine lover or foodie's dream...priced fairly, outstanding service, and a knowledgable, passionate staff. We loved it, and we will soon be regulars I'm sure. A rare find in Miami, I hope it doesn't get too crowded in the future!

Hole in the wall with largely middle aged European clientele, the rest are snow birds. Based on the menu, I expected an uptight white table clothed restaurant with a bunch of wine snobs, but this couldn't be further from the truth. Communal seating is encouraged, and the staff and management are not only approachable, but they enjoy telling you all about the food and the wines. For a place this tiny, the service is impeccable and everything runs like a well oiled machine. The menu is designed around the wines, obviously. Don't be shy to ask for recommendations. Plates are larger than tapas, but not so large you can't try a bunch of different dishes. My favorite by far were the butternut ricotta gnocchi. They were light and sautéed in butter to a crispy golden brown, but not greasy, served on green apple hash, topped with prunes and hazelnuts. Lot's happening on that plate but it all comes together and sings in perfect harmony. The grilled octopus was very tender and had a surprising citrus flavor. Great dish but a small portion for $18. BF liked his lamb meatballs on top of quinoa. Our least favorite dish were the Asian brussels sprouts. They were a little too mushy and salty, but still very good. The crispy fried shallots on top were awesome. As a self proclaimed bread pudding connoisseur, dessert was a no brainer. I was disappointed to find the dish very one dimensional in flavor and texture. The pudding was cakey, without any crunch or crispy outside edges. All I tasted were sugar and cinnamon. It was simply too sweet and needed either salt or acid to balance it. Booze, bitter chocolate, anything to add another dimension. Additionally, it lacked moisture, so the creme anglaise sauce on the bottom was much needed. Not being a wine drinker, I probably won't be back, but am glad I got to try chef's Bret's creations. I might steal his gnocchi and veganize them.

Like this place a lot. Staff on point. Owners always in the house. Great wine selection and great food.
(5)Ernesto A.
Wow! Now this place has one of the best services in Miami. The food is also great along with their wine variety. The place is small and cozy, but you will not regret it. Simple deliciousness with a touch of refined.
(5)Tony N.
Love this place! Always great wine and great suggestions! If you want a glass of wine but want to try something different, this is the place for you!
(4)Lana D.
(5)Marty S.
(5)Roane B.
(5)Ginger M.
The perfect date night restaurant. Amazing food and wine. The braised short rib is my favorite.
(5)Claudia A.
Great place to come and have a glass of wine and a tapa. Not many places in Miami that offer this kind of atmosphere. Wines are delicious and affordable and their tapas are amazing! A definite place to be at on a relaxing Saturday spot.
(5)Crissy R.
(5)Olga P.
(5)Mary G.

(5)Laura A.

(5)Stephanie M.
What a gem of a place! Great small plate options and wine selection. The owner was so friendly. Will definitely be back!
(5)Rafael B.
(5)Victoria C.
(4)Nina W.
Ask about private parties because not only can you have the place to yourself, but you'll definitely have the best host and service!!!!! Heath will take care of your groups for a sit down sinner of 30. Or they can take up to 40!!! Give Heath a call!!
(5)Robin S.
(5)Bianca C.
What a great little place! The owner and the entire staff are very pleasant and help make the experience that much better! The wines are great and you getup try them all before you are served your glass! Food is great and the communal seating adds and fun element to the whole thing. Must try! Great for a date night or a girls night out.
(5)Romi C.
(5)Kim T.
Nice little spot on Miracle Mile. Seating is limited and you may have to share a table with randoms depending on your party size. The service was good. I was a fan of the cod croquettes. They have a unique list of wine to choose from. Overall, it was a nice experience.
(4)Christine W.
(4)Lam P.
Whoo
(5)Emily H.

(4)Yanet C.

(5)Juan P.
Amazing food, excellent service and great wines! Already repeat customers and always an amazing experience!!
(5)Dustin G.
The food and the wine that they paired it with were both amazing. It's a little pricey in my opinion but definitely great food
(5)Marisa L.

(5)Jo W.
The restaurant has more of a focus on wine than on the food but despite that, the food still shines. Food is served tapas styles representing different parts of the world.
(5)Charlie S.
Really excellent. Octopus was stellar, incredibly tender. Veal sweetbreads were awesome. Perfectly balanced dish. Rabbit was solid. Cod croquettes also great. Wines were good, but the best drink we ordered was the "gingie" - prosecco with ginger syrup and candied ginger. Great service. And knowledgeable about the wines served. No reservations, unfortunately. Small restaurant. Remarkably loud though.

When you roll over the fifth star on Yelp, it says "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" Yep. That just about sums it up. First of all, the atmosphere is lovely in Uvaggio, and even better, the entire staff here is friendly, prompt, and evidently proud of the food and wine they're serving. I saw our server get visibly excited when I ordered the octopus. Which leads me to the food. Everything was delicious, truly, but the one dish you MUST try is the octopus. Really. Words won't do it justice. It was just that damn good. Everything else was great, too. My friend and I split the cheese board (omg yum!), the naan bread (goat cheese hummus...need I say more? I will. The naan bread was *obviously* homemade. Like, you could taste the homemade-ness.), and the pork rillette (made most memorable by the accompanying jalapeño jam). Everything left us with "wow" on the tips of our tongues. Finally, the wine. I'm an amateur wine enthusiast, so it really made the experience for me that the wine lists gave such helpful descriptions of everything they had to offer, and even better was the helpful advice from the server when I asked for recommendations. He brought me a fantastic off-menu chardonnay first, then followed up with an outstandingly unique rosé. I only wish I hadn't been the designated driver for the evening or I would have had a lot more than 2 half glasses! I sincerely look forward to returning in the future for one of their wine-tasting events.
(5)George C.
(5)Jaife R.
Delicious! They were very attentive and even with a packed house the food and wine was delivered reasonably. The short rib was a little fatty but delicious. The Brussel sprouts were my favorite. Loved the recommended white wine! Definitely will return!
(5)Sarah P.
(4)Meivys J.
We loved everything about this restaurant, very quaint! The food, atmosphere, service and drinks were all great! It was just a tad cold but worth it.
(5)Ginnette G.
(5)Neha M.

I finally made it to Uvaggio and was WOWED! Amazing menu, amazing wine, amazing service, amazing entertainment...I already made a plan to take friends there next week. I also found it very reasonably priced. One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a while.

After effectively being booted from the Yelpies (quite rudely I might add), I was forced to find some other way to entertain and feed myself this evening. I can't think of anything negative to say about Uvaggio. It's a small restaurant, but they've maximized the space by setting up communal tables. And the wait staff is very attentive and friendly. We started with some sauvignon blanc to cool off, which was quite tasty. It was slightly sweet and not too acidic. On a hot night such as this, it was an excellent choice. This is largely a tapas place, so the portions are small and meant for sharing. We started with the wahoo crudo and cod croquettes. The wahoo was thinly sliced, uber fresh fish with some finely chopped fruit and ginger. Very tasty. Probably the best I've had. The cod croquettes were golden brown and moist and came with a delightful aioli. They also tasted very fresh and weren't oily in the slightest. Next, we had the short rib. Usually it's very rich, and sometimes overwhelming. But the short rib at Uvaggio is tender, light and flaky. And came with a puréed taleggio cheese. They brought a side of consommé which was quite good and added great flavor to the dish. We finished off with the veal sweetbreads with potato gnocchi. The sauce was amazing, and the gnochhi were soft and flavorful. The sweetbreads were lightly breaded and also quite good. Overall, a great experience. We really enjoyed it!

(4)Felix J.
What a great place to learn about and consume an excellent range of varied and delicious wines! Everyone on the wait staff is a sommelier and it shows. The octopus was delectable and the charcuterie board, which included duck breast prosciutto was exquisite. The smallness of the place adds to its warmth. My wife and I enjoyed it all around and would recommend it to anyone (with a fine palate, that is!;)
(5)Ashley E.
(5)Gaby C.
(5)Nicole H.
What a gem! I have been hearing people RAVE about this place and had to see for myself. Came in for an early dinner and was just in time for happy hour! After ordering a few glasses of wine, the food was calling my name. Started with a beautiful frisée salad topped with a golden fried egg and beautiful chunky bacon, mix and serve...perfection! Next came the short rib... WOW. A little bit of consume, poured table side over the short rib that's been cooked in a three day process, nestled on a velvety mashed potato, literally makes you want lick your plate. Duck confit with stewed cherries, Octopus grilled to perfection, over a spectacular twist on patatas bravas with pickled jicama; each dish was stand out. I will be coming here again. I am so glad coral gables is stepping up their restaurant game... This place is SPECTACULAR.... Most important thing I didn't mention above... The service is AWESOME... I can't ever say that about Miami restaurants!!
(5)Laura S.
Best octopus I've tried in Miami!!!! We tried the cod croquettes , short ribs, and the octopus. Everything was great but the octopus definitely stood out!
(5)Tina P.
(5)Roselin S.
(4)Millie A.
(4)Steph D.
(1)Michael M.
Jazz duo on wed. Offers tastes of small production wines, so you can try before you buy. Vegetarian appetizers and carnivore options. Nice, easy vibe.
(5)Brian G.
(5)Fernando G.
(2)Roger R.
Very unexpected surprise! It's a very cozy and small place. The staff is great, friendly, and know their stuff. They have only been open for 11 weeks. Definitely need to check this place out!
(5)Frank P.
Fantastic concept, especially in a city where it's hard to find a chill place to have a drink with your wife. Highly recommended, must try the octopus dish. Great selection of wines and some beers. The owner Craig is extremely nice and accommodating. We will hopefully make this a more frequent hangout for us.
(5)John C.
Loved it! From the prices to the selections I was amazed at how beautiful the food looked and how incredible it tasted. Their prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are excellent. Wine selection was great. They have done a great job putting this place together I will definitely come back
(5)Mary E.

(5)Dolores Orqui G.
Can't say enough above this gem!!! The food is outrageously delicious...the wine list is extensive and unique and the service exquisite!!!!
(5)Sam P.
Amazing service and really fantastic food! Live music on monday nights too, definitely worth checking out, its one of best new spots in miami!

(5)Olivia G.
(5)Michael S.
Nice people. Great wines by the glass. Good food but slightly limited selection. The sausage plate is excellent.
(5)Pe E.
His pairing was a marriage and he said they built the food around the wine! loved it!
(5)Daniel B.
(5)Pedro B.
New place in Miracle Mile. Salt cod croquettes are so amazing. Wine selection is out of this world. You order food and they will pair you to the right wine for the dish. Prices are amazing for the gourmet food being paired with great wine. Just an amazing place with great atmosphere.
(5)Sarina K.
(5)Chi N.
(5)Arturo R.
(5)Kelly O.
(4)Dale H.
(5)S K.
Great meal guaranteed. Creative but accessible menu. They offer 3 oz pours of their extensive wine selection so you can pair with different plates. Recommendations: the octopus is a must, easily the best in town, as is the molten chocolate cake. We'll be back for sure!
(5)Kristy C.
(5)Shannon P.
(5)Karen S.
We loved Uvaggio the service was amazing as well as the food and wine! We ate the cod croquettes the octopus the veal sweetbread and they were all so amazing. The strawberry dessert was a perfect ending. We enjoyed the experience greatly and will definitely be returning soon!!
(5)Jessica M.
(5)Rob L.
Very nice staff with immense knowledge of their craft. It's a small and cosy spot with a great menu and lots of wine!
(5)amin s.
This place is purely amazing. Doesn't have all the lights and glamor of cebo which is across the street but these people know everything about their wines. And may I say their food is AMAZING. I will def become a regular there
(5)Maria Cecilia B.
What a great restaurant!!! Delicious food and fair prices. My Recommendations the Octopus and the duck.
(4)Abby L.
Great new wine bar on miracle mile! The staff was really friendly and helpful and it has a great ambience. Miracle mile really needed a little spot like Uvaggio. Will definitely be back soon!
(5)Alisia A.
(5)D P.
(3)John R.
Very good...newly opened but look forward to returning and trying new items on the menu...good selection of wines paired well with the menu offerings.
(4)Jorge G.
(5)Carlos G.
Uvaggio is small and intimate. The service, attention to detail and knowledge of wines by the staff was excellent. The tapas were all very good. Our group of 6 had a great time. Larger groups may be more difficult to accommodate.
(5)Ezequiel P.
(5)Brian C.
(5)Arnaldo M.
Great place! We tried the bacalao croquettes, excellent taste and the sauce was amazing. The bread with humus also excellent. The chocolate lava cake is delicious. Would definitely come back to this place
(5)Joanna W.
(5)Henry L.
The bill sneaked up on me, turned out to cost much more than I expected. Great place to go once, don't think that I will return. Food is great if that is your taste.
(2)Maria B.

(5)Gary T.
(5)Mike P.
Phenomenal! I loved the duck dish and the sweet bread. I told them what type of wine I like and let them choose. Each choice was better than the last. It was a great experience.
(5)Banu D.

Just amazing...from food to service. Exceptional. They'll need to expand as the place is becoming more popular.
